Is it free?
Yes. Commentless is free for now: no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Why does the creator see “Commentless”?
Because our account does the work, not yours. One of Commentless’s own Instagram accounts likes, follows or comments as the creator asks, and the creator sends the DM to that account. That is the whole point: you never engage publicly, so the creator only ever sees a Commentless account.
What if the creator doesn’t reply?
Creators decide whether to reply. Most do, but some don’t. If there is no reply within 7 days after our account did what was asked, the request is marked “Couldn’t get this one” and you get a notification. If the creator asks for personal details such as an email address, we stop, because we never give them on your behalf.
Why does it take time?
A real person on our team does the like, follow or comment by hand in the Instagram app, and then the creator has to send their DM. Many creators reply within minutes, others within hours or a day. If someone already got the resource for the same post through Commentless, you get it instantly.
Which links work?
Links to Instagram posts and reels, shared from Instagram’s Share menu or pasted into the app. Profiles, stories and links that aren’t a post or reel can’t be handled. Private or deleted posts can’t be either. Facebook and YouTube are coming later.
What can creators send?
Anything they would normally DM: GitHub repositories, Google Drive or website links, PDFs and other files, images, videos, YouTube links or plain messages. It all appears in your private inbox, where you can save it and sort it into folders.
Is my Instagram account used?
No, never. Commentless never asks for your Instagram account or password and never does anything from your account. You don’t even need to be logged in to Instagram on the same phone, as long as you can share or copy the post’s link.
How do I delete my data?
To delete one request, open it and tap Delete request. To delete everything, go to Settings → Delete all my data. Do this before you uninstall: uninstalling alone doesn’t delete the copies on our servers. You can also email us. See Delete your data.
Is Commentless part of Instagram?
No. Commentless is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
